As the days remaining in the month of June slowly dwindle down, party patrons and dancing connoisseurs from all over the world have only one thing in mind, the Electric Daisy Carnival. Hundreds of thousands of people come together at the largest music festival in North America to share only one thing…their undying love for electronic music. If you aren’t from around the California area, you may or may not have heard of this magical event. Looking at pictures can give you an idea of the sheer grandeur of the global gathering, but nothing can truly compare to actually being there and experiencing the whole show. The most advanced sound systems, lighting, pyrotechnics, performers, and world’s best DJs unite to provide one of the most breathtaking presentations of visual and aural entertainment.
The genre “big room” was born from such events, combining elements such as hard kick drums, minimal sounding synths, long build ups, and plenty of reverb. After attending plenty of large events, I came to love this genre and realized the impact it can have on a big crowd of people who are ready to rage. Since the RG crew is going to be at EDC Las Vegas this weekend, we have compiled a list of tracks to hold you over for the weekend, many of which are big room! Make sure you listen to this stuff on a proper sound system with enough bass, laptop speakers and crappy ear buds simply will not suffice.
CAUTION: LISTENING TO THIS MUSIC LOUDLY MAY CAUSE SUDDEN URGES TO DRIVE VERY FAST!
As a side note, it seems that a lot of people are still unaware of the fact that readers have the ability to DOWNLOAD almost all of the songs which are posted on this blog. To do so, simply hover over the name of the track above the player, right-click the link and click “Save Target As.”
While we disappear for the next few days, all of us at Raw Goodage want to wish all of our readers a SAFE and UNFORGETTABLE weekend at EDC Las Vegas 2011. Remember, it will be VERY HOT even at night, so drink plenty of water! For those who will not be making it, better luck next year! See you all on Tuesday!
