A few weeks ago, Zedd joined Laidback Luke and the gang for Luke’s Super You & Me party at the Hollywood Palladium. That evening, Zedd debuted two brand new tracks: his collaboration with Lucky Date, and “Shotgun,” his newest single. His set was energy driven and powerful all the way through (he was jumping and dancing the entire time), but nothing compares to the reaction from the crowd during “Shotgun.” A countdown followed by the word “jump” ignited a contagious urge to do just that. Thousands of people jumping in unison is quite a sight, and Anton surely gets a kick out of watching it every time. The past few releases from the German producer have left long time fans in a mild state of uproar as complaints rolled in about his recent tendency to recycle the signature bassline that he is so well known for. However, this release is something new for us, and in the past he’s shown his willingness to experiment. This is his 3rd release on OWSLA and probably not his last.
