Seattle hip-hop artist SOL has had a busy schedule since graduating from college. His independent album Yours Truly quickly rose to the number 1 spot on the iTunes Hip-Hop charts, and he’s since shared the stage with names like Wu-Tang Clan, Big Sean, Macklemore, Mac Miller and Blue Scholars. Currently, he is traveling the world, planning to report step-by-step on his blog.
His latest work “Old Him” was produced by The Zillas in Washington, written while on a train in India, and recorded despite suffering from severe food poisoning that ensued because his friends insisted that he try KFC for the first time in his life. Sounds awful, but this track surely doesn’t. The instrumental is classy and colorful, accompanying SOL’s soulful rap-style and charisma.
