Adam K Lashes At AraabMuzik Over “Streetz Tonight”

Earlier today, producer Adam K took to social media to lash out at AraabMuzik, who coincidentally announced his new upcoming album just before. The discrepancy is over “Streetz Tonight,” a track from AraabMuzik’s Electronic Dream album released back in 2011 that samples the Adam K & Soha remix of Kaskade’s “4am.” Not entirely sure why today was the day to complain about it, but apparently Ultra Music is involved and will be seeking legal action. The album’s Wikipedia page has a section which clearly lists all of the samples used track-by-track, but by the looks of comments on SoundCloud, most of Araab’s fans seemed to think it was an original melody. We’d be pissed too…

AraabMuzik – Streetz Tonight

In the past, we’ve seen plenty of artists sample older tracks and label them as their own. When done carefully and sparingly, it’s usually it’s alright. Well, not in this case. You can listen to both  songs and clearly notice that “Streetz Tonight” is hardly different from the original, and most people would simply call it an edit. AraabMuzik’s YouTube channel already pulled the video, so it’s only a matter of time before it disappears on SoundCloud too.
