Kendrick Lamar – Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe

Kendrick Lamar has a promising career to say the least, especially for a 23 year old kid who grew up in Compton. His first studio album good kid, m.A.A.d city tells a story similar to his, about how young black kids tried to escape the inner city influences. “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” is one of my favorites from the album. The instrumental is very well done and was produced by Sounwave. Not sure exactly who the lyrics are directed towards, but one can summate that he was certainly sick of their bad vibes. The chorus was originally supposed to be sung by Lady Gaga, but deadline pressures did not allow it. Critics are calling GKMC one of the best hip-hop albums to date. That may or may not be the case, but it certainly has a lot to offer.
