Though Kill Paris might seem like a rather new name to you, make no mistake, he is certainly not new to the game. Starting at just 16, young Corey Baker has kept computer music close to his heart. In college, he was featured in Future Music Mag for the track “Another Day,” and went on to receive his degree in Recording Arts. He ran his own home studio, recorded international artists, and remixed tracks for numerous labels.
I was first drawn to Corey’s music because of the distinguishable appeal of his production quality. Later, after finding out that he was a Certified Ableton Trainer, it started to make a lot more sense. His SoundCloud offers tons of free tracks, both remixes and originals, for any sort of mood, using proclaimed genres such as “Baby Making Music,” “Panty Dropstep,” and “Luvstep.” He loves to sample oldies and give them the modern day makeover, recently showing a picture from a fan acknowledging that “Tender Love” was mom-approved. Kill Paris is currently finishing off the last dates of the OWSLA tour, and we are still patiently waiting for his OWSLA EP.
