Porter Robinson has been rather busy lately, recently finishing off the Poseidon Tour with fellow producer and bestie Zedd. He admits that he hasn’t had much time in the studio lately, but reassured fans after promising to buckle down and finally get the chance to put together some new music. In a public statement, Porter mentioned that he would be starting a newsletter to alert fans of new releases and relevant content. He also took this opportunity to point out the fact that it is shameful for other big DJs to pay agencies to run their social media instead of engaging with their fans directly – the opposite of what he is trying to do with his mailer.
Despite touring around the clock, Porter gives us a look of what’s ahead. In a recent collaborative effort with British progressive god Mat Zo, the pair present us with “Easy,” the next Ministry of Sound release following the hit “Language.” Premiering on the final episode of Above & Beyond’s legendary Trance Around The World show, it has been spreading like wildfire ever since. The two songs present a very similar persona, one that is both happy and energetic. Try not to smile while listening. I dare you.
