Missy Elliott – Sock It 2 Me (Kaytranada Remix)

At first glance, Montreal producer Kaytra Laboom (Kaytranada) may seem difficult to read. Mowing over his SoundCloud tracks, you’ll notice that his uploads have been weaving through genres like an angry drunk driver. While doing so, you’ll also notice that every single song is jaw-dropping (and that the frequency of uploads are tough to keep up with, but who’s complaining?). From the experimental stuff to the hip-hop to the trap and everything in between, Kaytranada does not disappoint. The most recent example is his dramatic, yet soothing remix of Missy Elliot’s “Sock It 2 Me,” a perfectly polished and authoritative presentation of originality.
