Following a release break in the last few months of last year, Axwell’s Axtone Records imprint is back with their first release of 2013 – the (label) debut single from Belgian duo and brothers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. The pair are no strangers to Axtone, having previously remixed “Leave The World Behind,” David Tort’s “One Look,” and many more, maintaining a close relationship with the Swedish label head and the entire “mafia” in general. Though “Wakanda” may come as a surprise to fans of the label who have fallen in love with its well-picked progressive anthems in the past, anyone who has seen SHM perform recently has experienced this track first hand. Tribal drums, African chants, and samples from the Black Panther comic series work together to make “Wakanda” (the made-up country in the comics) a massive big room weapon.
