March has certainly been an eventful month for everyone with the conclusion of Ultra Music Festival, SXSW, and the continuation of WMC. We recently had the chance to catch up with Columbian DJ and producer David Solano. Now a Miami resident, he has received support for his music from top artists all over the world including Tiesto, Sander van Doorn, and many more. Later next month, David adds to his busy schedule by embarking on the 2013 Life In Color Tour, bringing some of the best music to the industry’s best paint parties. His collaborative track with R3HAB “Do It” was named the official anthem and is set to be released early April. Read the full interview after the jump!

Yarin Lidor Mix for SSENSE
It seems that the online fashion boutique company SSENSE also has great taste in music, judging by all the artists they’ve previously commissioned to do an exclusive mixtape for them. Some past names include BEAR//FACE, Andrea, Kastle and many more. Now, we can add Tel Aviv producer Yarin Lidor to the lineup. Yarin won us over with his sensational “Birthday Sex” remix a few months back, and has since stayed clear in the spotlight. By combining elements of trap, hip hop, garage and others, he creates a diverse and sophisticated atmosphere for all to enjoy. The tracklist is top notch, and you’ll surely hear something for the first time.

Drake – 5AM In Toronto
Last night, Drake took to social media to reveal his brand new track “5AM In Toronto” on the official OVO (October’s Very Own) Soundcloud. Coming just one month after the release of the immensely popular “Started From The Bottom,” Drake is already off to a strong and promising start in 2013, confuting all who might doubt his time clock in the spotlight. The track title format might look familiar as it is a sequel to “9AM In Dallas,” and the beat is produced once again by in-house man Boi-1da, “like it should be” according to Drizzy. One thing you’ll notice is the absence of a catchy singing hook, or any hook for that matter. No, you won’t get that here, but what you will get is 3 minutes of straight rapping over a beautiful instrumental. I don’t care if Drake spends $50,000 at a strip club, as long as he keeps coming back with more raw, quotable verses like these.
LYRICS
Yeah
This on some “old Tommy Campos Dice Raw” shit
For my niggas, though
[Verse 1]
You underestimated greatly
Most number ones ever, how long did it really take me
The part I love most is they need me more than they hate me
So they never take shots, I got everybody on safety
I could load every gun with bullets that fire backwards
You probably wouldn’t lose a single rapper
Niggas make threats, can’t hear ’em over the laughter
Yeah, that’s cause I’m headed to the bank, nigga
Sinatra lifestyle, I’m just being frank with you
I mean, where you think she at when she ain’t with you
Wildin’, doin’ shit that’s way out of your budget
Owl sweaters inside her luggage, you gotta love it
Damn, this shit could go on a tape
Bitches lovin’ my drive, I never give it a break
Give these niggas the look, the verse, and even the hook
That’s why every song sound like Drake featuring Drake
Tr8, Y pree? Why is it always me?
Got us watchin’ our words like there’s wire taps on the team
Cause I show love, never get the same outta niggas
Guess it’s funny how money can make change outta niggas
For real
Some nobody started feelin’ himself
A couple somebodies started killin’ themself
A couple albums dropped, those are still on the shelf
I bet them shits would have popped if I was willin’ to help
I got a gold trophy from the committee for validation
Bad press during the summer over allegations
I ain’t lyin’, my nigga, my time is money
That’s why I ain’t got time for a nigga who’s time is comin’
A lot of niggas PR stuntin’ like that’s the movement
And I’m the only nigga still known for the music
I swear, fuck them niggas this year
I made Forbes list, nigga
Fuck your list, everything’s lookin’ gorgeous
Without me, rap is just a bunch of orphans
But if I stay in the shit, there’s a bunch of corpses
And me and my dread nigga from New Orleans
Stashin’ money like hoarders off multi-platinum recordings
Eat it like I’m seated at Swiss, Sotto, and Joso’s
Nothing Was The Same, this shit for Easy and Cocoa
This shit for Kareem, this shit for Jaevon
This shit for Julius, Milly Mill
Boy we do this shit for real
All them boys in my will
All them boys is my Wills
Anything happen to pop and I got you like Uncle Phil
Weezy been on that edge, you niggas just need to chill
If anything happen to papi, might pop a nigga for real
Comin’ live from the screwface, livin’ out a suitcase
But I’m feelin’ good, Johnny got me pushin’ two plates
My weight up, I refuse to wait up, I started a new race
It’s funny when you think a nigga blew up after Lupe
Niggas treat me like I’ve been here for 10
Some niggas been here for a couple, never been here again
I’m on my King James shit, I’m tryin’ to win here again
A young nigga tryin’ to win here again
Man, what’s up
[Outro]
Yeah
A young nigga tryin’ to win here again
If I like her, I just fly her to the city I’m in
I got her drinkin’ with your boy
I got her fucked up, shorty
Aww yeah
Showtek – Slow Down (Original Mix)
Dutch duo Showtek debuted a premature version of “Slow Down” late last year, and we were there to experience it live at Nocturnal Wonderland. Months later, it finally gets a release via Dim Mak as a part of the Crunk/Slow Down EP. The powerful melodic chords are consistent in both versions, but it seems that the pair did a little bit of work on the drop, making it even more effective than before. Though some have made it publicly known that they miss the “old” Showtek, they have proven time and time again that they are capable of producing some of the biggest house tracks, while continuing to incorporate their signature hardstyle specialties. Grab it on Beatport at the link below.
Keys N Krates – Treat Me Right
Since the trio first posted a preview for their highly anticipated new single on Dim Mak, we’ve sat patiently waiting for any whisper in the wind about a release date. Well, it would seem that VIBE is on duty for the official premiere of “Treat Me Right,” and they’ve decided to post it a day early. Though the track will not be available to purchase until tomorrow, hearing it does a great job of building excitement for the entirety of their upcoming Solow EP. One of the best things that Keys N Krates has to offer aside from their catchy productions is an innovative live performance. Check out the video below and you’ll understand why, and don’t forget to pre-order “Treat Me Right” on iTunes at the link below.
heRobust X gLAdiator – We Are
If you tuned into Mixify a few weeks back for the RISE Digital Music Festival, you probably heard this track during gLAdiator‘s crowd-favorite set. These LA natives are some of the most talented producers and DJs in the genre, and the same can definitely be said about Atlanta producer heRobust who has worked hard to maintain a constant flow of notable productions over the past year. The two got together and collaborated on “We Are,” a refreshing and novel original which utilizes unique aspects of both parties involved. Try dancing to it, you’ll find new ways every time.
